Start with British Airways’ disruption information
BA’s delays and cancellations page links to compensation and expenses claims. A claim for reasonable expenses and a claim for fixed compensation address different things. Keep itemised receipts alongside your flight record, and say clearly which outcome you are requesting.
Check the current submission procedure
BA’s published conditions ask for a direct claim and a response period of 28 days, or a shorter period required by applicable law, before a third-party company acts. Consultation is permitted earlier. This is the airline’s stated procedure, not a conclusion that all restrictions on representatives are enforceable.
Organise a connecting-flight enquiry
- Keep every flight leg and booking reference together.
- Identify the carrier that actually operated the disrupted flight.
- Record what replacement travel was offered and when you arrived.
Tell us about separate bookings rather than assuming they count as one journey. The eligibility guide sets out the first screening questions.
What will a free assessment do?
It gives us the basic facts to review whether the proposed Sort It Flights service may be suitable. It does not contact BA, accept paid work or stop a deadline. Our compensation guide shows potential amounts and proposed fees.
